Equipment That Survives a Mine Site
Site conditions destroy timber. Pallets and bins sit in open laydown areas through wet seasons, get handled by rough equipment, and hold material that is abrasive, wet or chemically aggressive. Timber rots, hosts borers and swells; plastic does none of those things. It does not absorb moisture, will not degrade in sun or rain, and resists most site chemicals without breaking down.
Swan Material Supplies holds pallets, bulk bins and spill containment across five Australian warehouses, including Perth, which matters for WA operations running resupply to remote sites on short notice.
Core Tray Storage
The 1200 x 1100 mm pallet is supplied specifically for storing plastic core trays from diamond drilling programmes. Core is long, heavy for its size, and stored in quantity for years, usually in sheds or open yards where moisture and pests degrade timber over the storage period. Its rectangular footprint gains 100 mm of length over a square pallet, which keeps long trays inside the deck rather than overhanging, and overhanging loads in racking are a safety problem before they are a storage problem.
Drum and IBC Containment
For chemical and reagent storage, the drum dolly moves 200L drums without manual handling and catches the drips and seepage that happen around bungs and taps in transit. It is important to be precise about what that is: a containment base for minor leaks, not a bunded pallet sized to hold a drum full contents. For full-capacity bunding, a bunded spill pallet is the correct product and the dolly complements rather than replaces it.
The IBC poly shroud addresses the space problem on constrained sites. Dangerous goods separation distances can make it impossible to store the IBCs an operation actually needs. Enclosing each IBC individually achieves segregation at the container rather than across the yard, so IBCs holding different DG class liquids can sit next to one another. It is UV stable, so it works outdoors where the available space usually is.
