Spill Containment Built for Australian Workshops, Sites and Chemical Stores
Swan Material Supplies supplies spill containment Australia businesses can order from a single unit, with two Australian-made lines held across five warehouses in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide. The range covers the two jobs that cause the most trouble on a chemical or fuel site: moving a 200L drum without tipping it or leaving a drip trail, and storing a single IBC in a compliant enclosure when floor space is tight.
Spill containment is a wide category, and the products inside it solve different problems. A bunded spill pallet has a sump that holds the full contents of a drum or IBC. A drum trolley with a moulded base catches the small leaks that happen while a drum is being moved. A shroud encloses an IBC so that liquids of different dangerous goods classes can be stored side by side. This page explains what each Swan MS product does, so you can match the product to the job and avoid buying the wrong one.
Drum Bunding and Drum Handling
The Swan Drum Dolly is built for moving 200L drums, and containers up to 205L, around workshops, plant rooms and maintenance bays. The drum sits on a wheeled base instead of being walked or tipped by hand, a wide steel handle gives two-handed control over direction and stopping, and swivel castors with brakes let the dolly turn in tight spaces and park securely while you work from the drum.
The moulded base catches small leaks and drips from bungs, taps and seams while the drum is moving. It is important to be clear about what that means: the dolly is a drip containment base, not a bunded pallet sized to hold the full contents of a drum. Where a drum must be stored with full-capacity bunding to AS 1940 requirements, a bunded spill pallet is the correct product, and the dolly works alongside it. At 16 kg and 750 x 750 x 1095 mm, with very high chemical resistance for the solvents, oils, fuels and chemicals normally held in 200L drums, it is a practical fit for sites where a forklift cannot reach.
IBC Bunding and Dangerous Goods Segregation
Dangerous goods segregation is a space problem before it is a compliance problem. Incompatible DG classes must be kept apart, and on a constrained site the separation distances can make it hard to hold the IBCs you actually need. The Swan IBC Poly Shroud solves this by enclosing each IBC individually. Liquids of different DG classes can sit next to each other, which recovers usable area that separation distances would otherwise take up.
The shroud is Australian made, designed for compliant storage of a single IBC, and UV stable, so it can be used outdoors where much of the available space often is. It measures 1760 x 1350 x 1170 mm, holds 1150L, weighs 55 kg and arrives with its frame and fixings. It is made to fit the matching IBC bunded pallet, which supplies the bunded sump underneath. The bund is sold separately, so specify the two together for a complete installation.

Choosing the Right Spill Containment Product
If the job is moving a drum around a workshop, choose the drum dolly. If the job is storing IBCs of different dangerous goods classes close together, choose the IBC poly shroud together with the matching IBC bunded pallet. If the job is holding the full contents of a drum in a bunded sump, you need a bunded spill pallet, so ask our sales team and we will confirm what is available for your site. Our guide to spill pallets and bunding compliance covers the difference in more detail.
Compliance and Site Requirements
Rules for storing flammable and combustible liquids in Australia vary by state, dangerous goods class and the quantity stored. AS 1940 is the standard most often referred to, but your obligations depend on your site, your substance and your regulator. We recommend confirming your requirements before you order, and our sales team can help match a product to your site.
All specifications, including dimensions, weight, volume and chemical resistance, are listed on each individual product page. Every quote request receives a response within twenty-four hours on business days, and the minimum order is one unit.
