Plastic Pallets and Crates for Warehousing and 3PL
Rackable pallets with published beam and drive-in ratings, bulk crates that fold flat when empty, and national stock so replenishment ships from the warehouse nearest your site rather than across the country.

Pallets Rated for the Racking You Actually Run
In a distribution centre the pallet is infrastructure. It cycles through the same beams, the same forklifts and the same pick faces for years, and when it fails it does so loaded and at height. Swan Material Supplies publishes static, dynamic and racking ratings on every line, so your team specifies against real figures rather than a general assurance that a pallet is heavy duty.
Eight pallets in the range carry a published beam racking rating, from 600 kg up to 2,000 kg, and two of those also carry a drive-in rating. The rest are rated for freight and floor use only and are marked as such. That distinction matters more than any other number on the page, because racking is the one condition where nothing supports the deck underneath.
Where Timber Costs You Money
Timber pallets fail progressively. Boards crack, nails lift, and a pallet that looked serviceable on the floor becomes a dropped load in a beam. Each failure costs a stopped forklift, damaged stock and an incident report. Plastic is moulded in one piece, holds its dimensions through hundreds of cycles, and does not shed splinters or fasteners into your pick faces.
Specifying for a Distribution Centre
Start from the racking system. Selective beam racking and drive-in racking support a pallet differently, and the drive-in figure is always the lower of the two, so specify against whichever you actually run. For fixed-site stock that sits loaded in beams for months, the heavier-section warehouse pallet resists the slow deck deflection that eventually makes a loaded pallet unsafe. For pallets that move constantly between racking, pick faces and dispatch, four-way forklift and pallet jack entry removes a recurring source of repositioning delay.
On the crate side, the question is whether your containers come back empty. In a closed loop the foldable bulk crate collapses flat, so a return truck carries crates rather than air and your dock stops holding stacks of empties. Where crates stay in one place, a rigid bulk crate is lighter and better value, and the 600L carries the highest crate racking rating in the range at 800 kg.
